This is me…
I am Dale, the designer and creator of Tekschur.
Wife and Mother of a teen, a tween and mum to the most delectable Italian Greyhound named Pixie.
Tekschur grew during 2020 the year of the lockdowns when normal business could no longer exist. Starting out as a hobby, friends and family showed huge interest in the earrings I was making and that was the beginning of my next journey: creating Tekschur into a sustainable small business.
My background in Interior design helps inspire me with use of balance and unity, colour, shape, pattern and texture.
I have a major plant obsession, I love all crafts and dibble dabble in bits of everything. I have a passion for coffee, Mexican food and catching up with my family and friends.
My favourite artists of inspiration are Frida Kahlo & Pop Surrealist Mark Ryden.

Tekschur celebrates the beauty found in imperfections, differences and uniqueness.
The name ‘Tekschur’ originates from the phonetic way of pronouncing ‘Texture’
but also has two references:
TEKS- The Indo-European root meaning "to weave, to fabricate and also "to make”
CHUR- Reference to my homeland New Zealand in the spelling of ‘Chur’ as in NZ it is a slang word which can mean sweet, cheers, yeah, good, cool & awesome.
Put together TEKSCHUR to me means TO MAKE AWESOME!
All of what Tekschur wants to empower and evoke in the feelings of its customers.
